At Gilwell Park — the iconic 160-hectare Scout camp in Gembrook, Victoria — BOULDERING® has become a new focal point for adventure.
Designed to challenge, empower, and inspire, this bouldering precinct now gives Scouts from across Australia a place to test boundaries, solve problems together, and build confidence that lasts well beyond camp life.
Scouts Victoria wanted a feature that would align with their program goals: resilience, leadership, and hands-on personal development.
BOULDERING® proved to be the perfect fit, creating an environment where young people can push beyond comfort zones, build problem-solving skills, and develop trust. The precinct blends accessible bouldering structures with a large-scale roped wall, giving Scouts both approachable entry points and advanced climbing challenges.
The precinct includes a mix of structures — from the large Hercules+ and Legend+ to smaller pillars and custom walls — offering a variety of climbing challenges for all ages and abilities. Together, they form a bold centrepiece within one of Australia’s most recognisable Scout destinations.
IN THEIR WORDS
“The bouldering precinct at Gilwell Park is an amazing personal development machine. It helps young people test their boundaries and perceived limits, and creates unlimited opportunities for creative problem solving, teamwork, communication, and building confidence through personal achievement.”
— Jon McGregor, Executive Manager & General Secretary, Scouts Victoria
Like every BOULDERING® structure, the Gilwell Park precinct was designed and manufactured in Melbourne. Using precision CNC-cut materials, industrial-grade steel, and UV-stable components, it is built for durability, made with recyclable elements, and designed to minimise environmental impact — leaving a lasting legacy for the site.
