Structure
Goliath + with custom panel
The Goliath+ structure at Lismore Skate Park forms part of a broader precinct redevelopment, designed to support a wide range of movement, social interaction, and shared use within a highly active public space. The project was delivered as part of Lismore’s broader rebuild following the devastating 2022 floods, contributing to renewed public infrastructure within the precinct.
Positioned alongside skating, pathways, and gathering areas, the structure was conceived as a complementary element rather than a standalone feature - something that sits naturally within the rhythm of the precinct and encourages informal engagement throughout the day.
Goliath+ offers a range of climbing angles and transitions that support different abilities and styles of movement. Its scale allows for both quick, casual climbs and more considered challenges, while remaining approachable for users encountering it for the first time.
As part of the project, a custom “I ❤️ Lismore” panel was integrated into the structure. The detail reflects the importance of local identity within the precinct and demonstrates how BOULDERING® structures can be adapted to respond to community, place, and project-specific narratives.
In use, the structure supports a mix of behaviours - climbing, watching, meeting, and resting nearby - contributing to the social life of the skate park without competing with surrounding elements. Its presence reinforces the idea that movement-based structures can sit comfortably within mixed-use environments and appeal to a broad range of users.
The Goliath+ at Lismore Skate Park was designed, engineered, and fabricated in-house using durable materials suited to high-use public settings. The project highlights the flexibility of the BOULDERING® range, as well as the ability to incorporate custom features that reflect the character of a place.
