Structure

CUMULUS® (custom, rainbow palette)

When Our Lady of the Assumption PS asked for a way to brighten their outdoor play environment, they wanted more than just colours - they wanted a climbing piece that would inspire all students, young and old. We worked closely with the school leadership to design a custom CUMULUS® with a bold rainbow palette to create visual excitement, safety, and play that feels expressive.

Colorful geometric climbing structures outside on a wood-chip ground, arranged in two groups, one in yellow, red, pink, purple, blue, and green, under a tree with a metal fence and residential house in the background.

The result is a structure that fits the school grounds, complements existing landscaping and outdoor features, and becomes an inviting challenge zone for students across all levels. Its tactile surfaces, varied holds, and accessible scale make it perfect for early years and primary students alike, encouraging safe risk-taking, coordination and imaginative movement.

Colorful modular climbing blocks with attached handholds in a playground, set outdoors on mulch with a wooden fence and trees in the background.
Children in school uniforms climbing on colorful geometric-shaped playground rocks in a yard with mulch, trees, and a fence.
Three children, two girls and a boy, playing on a colorful geometric climbing structure at a playground. The girls are wearing blue school uniforms and the boy is in a school uniform as well. They are smiling and appear to be having fun.

IN THEIR WORDS

“Our new BOULDERING equipment… is a favourite go-to place at playtimes for the students. It’s bright, climbable and a fun place to sit and chat. It challenges our students to take risks, climb higher and to hold on tight as they move from one side to the other without touching the ground - ‘lava’! They even worked with mini Cumulus in STEM lessons which added extra excitement come installation day.”

- Richard Jacques, Principal, Our Lady of the Assumption Primary School

Colorful geometric climbing structures in a playground area with trees, grass, and a running track in the background.

Like every BOULDERING® project, this CUMULUS® structure was designed and manufactured in Melbourne using durable, recyclable materials, and built to meet Australian standards. Low maintenance, high joy - made to serve OLA students for years to come.
