Route Setting

The art behind every climb.

Route setting is where design meets movement. By carefully placing holds and volumes, we shape how each BOULDERING® structure feels to climb — ensuring every route is inclusive, engaging, and replayable.

Why it matters

Route setting turns a structure into a dynamic climbing experience. Different hold types and placements create paths that challenge body and mind, offering progression for all ages and abilities.

Designed for everyone

Each structure is set with multiple levels of difficulty on the same surface. Beginners build confidence on easier climbs, while experienced users push themselves on harder problems — all in one place.

Our process

  • Digital planning: CAD modelling maps out hold layouts across angles and surfaces.

  • Hold selection: Shape, size, and texture are chosen to vary movement style and difficulty.

  • Inclusive design: Every structure has easy, medium, and advanced options.

  • Field testing: Routes are climbed and adjusted by our team before installation.

Real sport, adapted for public space

Our approach brings the authenticity of Olympic-level climbing into public space—adapted for safety, inclusivity, and everyday use. That’s what makes BOULDERING® more than play equipment.
